Speaking of Albert Mohler

Liberal churches have redefined compassion to mean that the church changes its message to meet modern demands. They argue that to tell a homosexual he is a sinner is uncompassionate and intolerant. This is like arguing that a physician is intolerant because he tells a patient she has cancer. But, in the culture of political correctness, this argument holds a powerful attraction.

Does he really think that comparing Homosexuality to a cancer is going win converts to his side of thinking, especially with the youth?

According to Mohler, “no moral revolution can succeed without shaping and changing the minds of young people and children.”  However, using such derisive language and castigating metaphors about people that these young adults and children in many instances grow up with and love signals only that even the true believers either know that the battle is lost or have no inkling on how public relations even works.

While I do think he is wrong, it is his right to have this opinion. Just don’t think that these types of passages are going to stem the seemingly inevitable tide against this mode of thought.
